Friday at Prairie: Sharky's Review

ALTOONA, Iowa - Sharky's Review took advantage of a hot pace duel and a ground saving trip under Luis Quinonez to score a one-length victory in Friday's $64,200 Mamie Eisenhower Stakes for Iowa-bred fillies and mares at Prairie Meadows.

Sharky's Review raced six lengths back in fourth in the six-furlong race as Trisha Runs and 2-1 favorite Sumthintotalkabout dueled through a half-mile in 44.42 seconds. Sumthintotalkabout kicked clear in upper stretch, but Quinonez angled out Sharky's Review for racing room a furlong out and he rallied to collar Sumthintotalkabout in the final 70 yards. He ran the six furlongs in 1:09.51.

Defending champion Nut N Better rallied for third in the six-horse field, three-quarters of a length behind Sumthintotalkabout.

Mark Bader trains Sharky's Review, who returned $9.80 as the fourth choice.
