Freehold: Rec Time rules in Renaissance Pace
Rec Time, the 1-5 favorite, scored a comfortable 1:55 1/5 win over a "good" track in the featured $48,000 Renaissance for 2-year-old pacing fillies on Saturday afternoon at Freehold Raceway.
Driven by Jason Bartlett, Rec Time followed in the pocket behind Team Colors (Austin Siegelman) though a 27 4/5 quarter and a 57 4/5 half, but coming off the third turn, Bartlett sent Rec Time two-wide to go after Team Colors.
Once she was fed the clear racetrack, Rec Time moved up to engage and overtake Team Colors nearing the 1:26 4/5 three-quarters, and then Rec Time would be able to move back down the pylons after that marker. From there, it was all Rec Time as she moved away to win by 2 1/2 lengths over Anneliese Hanover (Dan Dube). Wall Of Blue (Vinny Ginsburg) finished third.
