She has been facing much better at this level and has been caught in some pretty fast miles. She has cashed checks in five of her last seven, draws inside after three consecutive six posts and with 46 career victories, she may just remember where the end zone is. (1) BYRDS THE WORD draws the best she has in a long time but it’s tough to get overly excited with her 1-53 record from 2023-24. She does have decent early speed to secure good position and she certainly should get a piece of this. (7) FUSSPOT closed from far back last week from the same seven post and has hit the board in three of her last five and seems to be improving. (4) SANTAFE’S MJ is 1-46 in 2023-24 but has earned checks in six of her last seven.  [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M NW 2 (Pick 4) This field is a combined 3-138 in 2024 and 5-221 lifetime. (7) MOLLY MCARDLE added Lasix four back and has hit the board in three of those four races and cashed checks in all four. She put in a strong mile on 10/4 in her first trip here leaving from post eight, securing the lead past the half and getting beat late while holding on for second. She has the early speed to overcome the outside post and she could be a handful in here. (6) HP TOP MODELE is just a 2-year-old but paid immediate dividends in her first start here for Richard Bilach while adding Lasix and going wire-to-wire after coming in from Canada. With not much early speed inside of her, she should be able to be on or near the lead with a serious chance of doubling up here. (4) GIDGET LAUXMONT is certainly a step below the top two and is just 1-54 in her career but she has shown solid improvement of late with two second place finishes in her last three starts. RACE 3: F&M TrackMaster 68.5 (2) RACING FOR RICK makes her second start at this level after dropping down and has seven exacta finishes in 19 starts this year.  She fought hard in defeat last week finishing third after having the lead at the top of the stretch and is well positioned to make a statement in here. (5) TWO MORE DREAMS has earned checks in all five starts since returning from a two month hiatus and could get into a good outer flow in here. (1) TRISH SPEAKER went wire-to-wire at this level on 9/13 in 1:57 4/5 and a repeat of that mile gives her an excellent chance in here. Race 4: F&M NW $1500 L5/TrackMaster 73.5 I’m going to take a flier in here with the wild card (7) VIRTUAL KISS. This 4-year-old ships in from out of town, has cashed checks in five of her last seven and has been caught in some fast miles at Tioga and Philly. She looks like she has the ability to push off the gate hard and find early position and there’s not much early speed in here. (2) BETTE TINA won here two back in a super impressive 1:55 2/5, she drops back down and anything close to that mile on 10/4 makes her a major contender. She is a bit short on the win end in 2023-24 going just 3-56 but she has won two of her last four here at Freehold. (1) KNOCK TWICE has hit the board in 10-16 career races with three wins and some solid final quarters but something went terribly wrong last week at Yonkers and you have to be willing to ignore that line. Race 5: F&M TrackMaster 68.5 (Pick 5) (4) SWEET FEAR has looked like a different horse since joining the Edwin Quevedo barn two back. She converted a pocket trip into an impressive 1:56 1/5 victory and then stepped up and finished third to a touch mare. She drops back down here and likely will find the top early. (2) THANEEYA has hit the board in three consecutive outings despite two lousy posts and draws inside here. It’s just her eighth start of the year and she is improving. She has24 wins and 50 exacta finishes in 161 career races. (1) VINTAGE GAL won here three back on 9/26 at this level at 4:5 odds, drops back down and draws the pole. She has 11 wins and 24 exacta finishes from 2023-24 and could wind up with a pocket trip. (3) RED DAWN has hit the board in five of her last six and used a strong move past the half three races back with Jim King Solomon to win at 20-1. RACE 6: TrackMaster 72.5 (Trot) (1) PARODY is a completely different horse when landing inside. She won from the rail on 8/23 at this level going wire-to-wire and won three back on 9/13 utilizing a pocket trip form inside position to win at 8-1 odds as my Value Play of the day. As Yogi Berra once said, I’m hoping for “deja vu all over again.” (3) CALL ME THEFIREMAN has hit the board in 17-28 starts in 2024 and 37-68 starts from 2023-24 and draws inside after two eight posts. (2) MY BIG KADILLAC has seven wins in 30 starts this year and won here on 8/23 from this same post position. He has decent early speed to find good early position. Race 7: F&M TrackMaster 72.5 (Pick 4) (5) WESTERN ROSIE was facing tougher over at Philly and went wire-to-wire last week here at 1:9 odds. She also won four back on 9/6 in an eye popping 1:52 3/5 at Philly. Two back she made a strong uncovered brush to the lead but got beaten by the pocket sitter by 3/4 of a length as the 3:5 favorite. She has the highest TrackMaster rating in the field and is likely faster than these. (2) EA MUSHU does her best work at the TrackMaster 68.5 level and has three consecutive exacta finishes including a win last week at 8-1 odds. She’s rounding back into form and has six wins and seven second place finishes this year in 34 races. (1) DREAM PILLAR has six wins this year, all at the TrackMaster 68.5 level and draws the rail on the move up and was able to use the same position at this same level two back to finish a strong second.   Race 8: NW $2500 L5/TrackMaster 75.5 (Trot) (6) MAKIN MAGIC TONITE has won two of her last five at this level and the other three trips she drew seven and eight posts. She goes fourth time Lasix and has good early speed to overcome the six post in a field void of early speed. (3) ROBERT MICHAEL is a steadily improving 3-year-old, who has earned checks in all six starts here at Freehold including a win two back at this level in an impressive 1:57. She was bet down to even money last week and finished a solid second after a bit of a rough trip and could be well positioned here to make amends.  (2) EXCHEQUER finally draws well after five consecutive miles from the outside and she was able to convert her most recent inside draws into two second place finishes at this level. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: TrackMaster 68.5 (Trot) This field is a combined 7-158 in 2024 but someone has to win. (2) KING CAST has let me down several times of late but she has cashed checks in four consecutive races. She tried to wire a field two back at this level from the same post and was gunned down late, finishing a strong second. There’s very little early speed in here at all and he will likely to use her early speed as far as it will take him. (1) DROP THE MIC has been a major disappointment and broke at this level last week as the 4:5 favorite. He had been facing tougher here at Freehold for the most part and has earned checks in five of his last eight. It’s kind of a now or never situation but I’d be cautious about taking too short of a price. (4) MNEMONIC is 2-52 from 2023-24 and is winless this year, but she made an impressive long uncovered move last week to take the lead in the deep stretch but got nailed late, finishing second, missing by a head.   Race 10: F&M TrackMaster 68.5 (2) PRINCESS SHARKTANK is an amazing feel good story. She is a mother of two, who returned to racing off a two year layoff and has thrown in some impressive efforts lately when not saddled with eight posts. She has early speed and goes second time for Justin Huckabone replacing trainer and provisional driver, Dominik Miga. (1) PRINCESS GLYDANA is just 3-71 from 2023-24 but she put in an eye-popping 8 3/4 length score at 1:2 odds last time she drew the rail in here. (8) REACHIN FOR HEAVEN was parked out to Route 9 a long way last week and never saw the rail. She’s probably a bit of a reach from the eight post but she’s been facing slightly tougher and if she leaves and finds and early spot, she could spice up the exotics.
