Juvenile filly worked well into her debut, got bet, and romped as the favorite. Second early, zoomed to lead on turn, crushed. Goes next in stakes race, open company or California-bred.

UNA CHIQUITITA

Finish: 5th by 4
Beyer: 82
Trying turf for the first time, Group 1 winner from Chile ran okay. Dropped out early, finished willingly. This was a step forward for import from Southern America. She is rounding into form.

CANOODLING

Finish: 6th by 4 1/4
Beyer: 82
Turf sprint was too short for a mare whose best races in California have been two turns. Eligible for restricted turf-route stakes in summer at Del Mar. Longshot threat when stretches back out.

NORTH EAST STAR

Maiden filly making U.S. debut broke last, trailed field, picked up steam into lane, finished well, race was dominated by two front-runners. Good comeback, follow when stretches to two turns.

CYBERVIKING

Finish: 2nd by nose
Beyer: 90
Solid sprint comeback by gelding, who pressed pace, got floated wide by winner in deep stretch, reluctant to switch leads, bumped late, missed. He was best. Solid comeback by six-time winner.

REFOCUS

Finish: 1st by 4 1/4
Beyer: 69
Debut juvenile by first-crop stallion Pavel worked well, ran well. Broke running, set pace, took heat, confidently handled, kicked away. This was the fastest race this meet by a 2-year-old (52.08).

WITH LOVE

Finish: 5th by 2 3/4
Beyer: 71
European making U.S. debut in entry-level allowance turf sprint might have been best. Off slow, trailed by many, weaved through, finished well. Sharp comeback, fits in next N1X, short or long.
