Second-start juvenile filly broke flat-footed in Cal-bred maiden sprint, raced near the back, made mid-race rally, finished well. Can handle statebred maidens with better takeoff.

Starter allowance turf miler got stuck behind tiring runners, shuffled on far turn, blocked along rail in lane, never had a chance. This race was a toss. Follow vs. similar at Del Mar.

Debut juvenile colt broke half-step slow in Cal-bred maiden sprint, recovered quickly to press from outside, dueled into lane, tired. Stay Thirsty colt should move up second out.
