Eleven-start maiden in maiden-50 turf mile surprisingly made lead, set hot fractions (45.63 and 109.96) and tired. Odd strategy. Can defeat similar with off-pace strategy.

Juvenile off slowly from rail, rushed forward, blocked and shuffled on turn, one-paced. Tough trip. Claimed for $50k by Hess from Peter Miller, has more ability than shown.

Stumbled badly at the start of a Grade 2 dirt route, was last by many lengths, rallied into contention far turn, lost punch. Super effort, might have been best. Fits in graded stakes, turf or dirt.

Debut colt crushed rivals without being asked at any stage of sprint. Son of Into Mischief will enter winter as one of the top Derby candidates in California. No telling how good.
