Free contest rings in new year

DRF Tournaments is offering a free contest on Sunday, Jan. 1. The top 15 finishers will win $15 entries to a Wednesday, Jan. 4, $21 feeder to a National Handicapping Championship qualifier. This will be an all-in contest, where all picks must be in before the scheduled post time of the contest's first race.

It's a perfect opportunity for all contest players to start the new year on the right foot. It's also a great excuse for new players to sign up for their accounts at tournaments.drf.com. Start on your way for free, and have a chance to win your way to your share of $2.5 million at the National Handicapping Championship.

Also on Sunday, there's a one-day qualifier to the 2017 Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge. The entry fee is $300, and up to two players will win their $10,000 BCBC buy-ins, plus $500 in travel money. One winning package will be awarded for every 41 entries.
