Free admission, parking at Belmont Saturday

Mike Farrell|Jul 11, 2008

ELMONT, N.Y. - Belmont Park announced Friday that admission and general parking will be free Saturday afternoon when 2007 Horse of the Year Curlin makes his turf debut in the Grade 1, $500,000 Man o' War Stakes.

Curlin, who arrived in New York from Kentucky on Thursday, got reacquainted with the Belmont paddock Friday as trainer Steve Asmussen brought the 4-year-old over for schooling with the first-race horses.

Curlin will try to use the Man o' War as a springboard to the prestigious Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in France in October. Post time for the Man o' War will be 5:15 p.m. Eastern with live coverage on ESPNews.
