Franco sustained only a swollen right calf and had general body soreness as a result of the spill. He did not sustain any other serious injuries despite getting stepped on by two trailing horses.
Franco was aboard The Ghost Bride in a Wednesday allowance race on turf when his horse bore in and bumped into Undertherain in upper stretch. The Ghost Bride got turned sideways, and Franco was dismounted.
