Fractional interest in Flightline to be sold at Keeneland November sale

LEXINGTON, Ky. - A fractional interest in Flightline, the unbeaten colt who is the favorite for the Breeders' Cup Classic on Nov. 5 at Keeneland, will be offered two days following the race at the Keeneland November breeding stock sale.
Flightline, a 4-year-old son of Tapit, is campaigned in partnership by Hronis Racing, Siena Farm, breeder Summer Wind Farm, West Point Thoroughbreds, and Woodford Racing, which has ties to Lane's End Farm. Flightline will stand at Lane's End, as the property of a syndicate, upon the yet to be determined conclusion of his racing career.
Lane's End and Keeneland jointly announced the Flightline offering on Tuesday morning, along with plans to debut an immersive Metaverse experience for those following the November sale.
A 2.5 percent interest in Flightline, offered by West Point Thoroughbreds, will be presented on Monday, Nov. 7, at the start of Keeneland November's single-session Book 1 portion of the sale. It is expected to be the only opportunity to buy into Flightline before he retires to stud. Should Flightline continue to race beyond the Breeders’ Cup, the buyer of the fractional interest will also be a part of his racing ownership.
Flightline has won all five of his starts, including Grade 1 triumphs in the Malibu, Metropolitan Handicap, and Pacific Classic. Following the BC Classic, Flightline’s ownership group will discuss whether he will race at age 5 or be retired to stud.
"We've thought about it - I'm sure we'll all get together after the race, that Sunday, and see what everybody's thinking," Bill Farish of Lane's End and Woodford Racing said in an interview shortly after Flightline arrived at Keeneland on Sunday. "As we've said all along, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. We're enjoying the ride too much right now."
Keeneland's Metaverse experience is designed to replicate the experience of the November sale, which runs through Nov. 17. The presentation will be hosted on Spatial and accessible via Oculus headset, desktop computer, or mobile phone. Participants will have a front-row seat in a virtual sales ring modeled after Keeneland’s and will have the opportunity to learn about the histories of Lane’s End, Keeneland, and the Thoroughbred industry through a series of pre-event activations.
