PHOENIX – A stakes four-bagger highlights the Saturday card at Turf Paradise, led by divisions of the $30,000 Arizona Breeders’ Futurity for 2-year-olds Arizona-breds. The fillies division drew a field of seven and goes as race 3. The colt and gelding division lured nine and goes as race 6. Both races are at six furlongs.

The $25,000 Cactus Flower for fillies and mares at 6 1/2 furlongs matches eight and goes as race 4. The $25,000 Cactus Wren, also at 6 1/2 furlongs, drew a field of 10 3-year-olds and up and goes as race 7.

◗ Let Me Fly looms the one to beat in the Arizona Breeders’ Futurity filly division. The daughter of Ez Dreamer comes off a sharp second, just a neck shy of division-leader Senoradiablo in the ATBA Sales Futurity here on Nov. 3 for trainer Kevin Eikleberry. Prior to that she was an easy allowance winner here Oct. 15.

◗ Loud N Proud, a 2-year-old gelded son of Margie’s Wildcat, takes his perfect 2-for-2 record into the Arizona Breeders’ Futurity colt and gelding division. Like Let Me Fly, he’s conditioned by Kevin Eikleberry. After a debut win at Prairie Meadows on June 29, he didn’t run until he resurfaced here Nov. 3 and won the ATBA Sales Futurity.

Bold Flame ran second for trainer Dan McFarlane in his debut Nov. 20 and has worked strongly since, while Call Waiting easily won his first two starts over this track in the spring for trainer Scott Rollins. After that he was sidelined two months. He dueled and faded to sixth in a stakes at Oak Tree at Pleasanton July 7, and hasn’t run since. He may appreciate returning to this track.

◗ Dreamy Gal looks to bounce back in the Cactus Flower. The 4-year-old daughter of Ez Dreamer won on Santa Anita’s hillside turf course May 10, but then didn’t run for more than six months. When she returned in the Phoenix Stakes here on Nov. 23, she stalked the pace but gave way, ending up sixth. She can benefit from that outing and Saturday’s drop for trainer Molly Pearson.

Kowboy’s Gigi may pose the biggest threat as she returns to dirt and sprinting for trainer Jose Silva after running sixth in the Queen of the Green, a turf route stakes, on Nov. 24. She easily won her prior start here in a Nov. 2 dirt sprint allowance.

◗ Fortified Effort returns to the site of much of his best work in the Cactus Wren. He’s won 4 of 6 starts here, all for Eikleberry, including two stakes. He also ran second in the Turf Paradise Derby last February. This marks his first start since he faded to eighth in the Manitoba Derby at Assiniboia Downs on Aug. 6.

Famous Rock Star, a 3-year-old gelded son of Rocky Bar sent out by Molly Pearson, was second in his first start here on Nov. 24 after having campaigned in Southern California.
