Four for Royal Ascot: Anthony Ennis
FRANCESCO CLEMENTE really should have won at Goodwood last month, but he can atone for that by landing the Wolferton Stakes on the opening day for the Gosden team. That was the only time the son of Dubawi has tasted defeat and the fact that he still holds an entry in the Eclipse suggests he will end up better than Listed class.
I was impressed by LADY EROS up at Yarmouth at the beginning of the month when I called the race that she won comfortably. Apparently she has been thriving since, and although this is a step up for the four-year-old, I think she is capable of winning the Kensington Palace Fillies’ Handicap for John and Thady Gosden. The daughter of War Front looks to be still improving and may prove better than a handicapper in time.

COLTRANE has become one of my favourite horses over the last year or so and Andrew Balding’s likeable stayer can land the biggest race of his career in what looks an open Gold Cup. He looked better than ever in the Sagaro Stakes here, when slamming old foe Trueshan, and he has everything you need to win Ascot’s prestigious staying contest.
ORAZIO was another who impressed here on trials day and Charlie Hills’ classy sprinter can land the Wokingham Stakes on Saturday. The four-year-old has been very lightly raced and looks a Pattern-race performer in the making. If the draw works out in his favour and he gets a clear run late, then the son of Caravaggio will take all the beating in this.
