Forty-six horses added to OBS winter mixed sale

Supplements to the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. winter mixed sale’s horses-of-racing-age portion are now available online, adding 46 horses to the catalog.

Now numbering 115 offerings, the horses-of-racing-age sale will begin immediately after the auction’s open session Thursday, Jan. 28, which begins at 10:30 a.m. Eastern. A consignor-preferred session will start the sale Wednesday, Jan. 27.

The racing-age portion of the sale catalog now includes 33 2-year-olds, 54 3-year-olds, and 28 older horses.

The optional under-tack show for the racing-age horses will be held at the adjacent Ocala Training Center on Monday, Jan. 25, beginning at 10 a.m.
Among the horses supplemented into the catalog is Reporting Star, a 6-year-old Circular Quay gelding who won the Grade 2 Play the King Stakes last year and enters the sale off a win in the El Prado Stakes at Gulfstream Park in December.

Printed catalogs of the supplemental horses are now available at the OBS sales office.
