Fortune Got Even closed from next to last for a neck win over Snowball in the $75,000 Equine Sales Oaks on Friday night at Evangeline Downs. It was another 7 3/4 lengths back to Flat Out Flirty in third.
The race was restricted to 3-year-old fillies who graduated from select auctions in Louisiana.
Fortune Got Even ($7) had one horse beat as favorite Cohenscollegefund took the field through an opening quarter in 24.22 seconds and a half-mile in 48.77. The winner rallied and covered the mile on a fast track in 1:40.31.
Ashley Broussard was aboard for owner and trainer Ricky Courville.
