Fort Erie gets approval for Quarter Horse dates

Fort Erie's application to add four Quarter Horse racing dates to its schedule has been approved by the Ontario Racing Commission. The racing commission, in a notice issued late Monday afternoon, gave Fort Erie the Quarter Horse dates on Saturdays July 2, Oct. 8, Oct. 15, and Oct. 22.

Fort Erie's originally scheduled 78-day meeting will begin on Saturday, May 7 and run through Tuesday, Nov. 1
