Fornatale: Saratoga pick four play for Sunday, Sept. 6

Monday is a travel day for me so this is my final pick four of the meet. Let's see if we can go out on a high note.

Race 8

My lone A horse in here will be Chad Brown's STYLE DRIFT (#11), who impressed last time closing on a turf course that favored speed. On my main backup tickets, I'll use SUMMERSAULT (#5). She won clear last time, and the lone runner to come back out of that heat has won. Maybe she's just getting good, and her many tries at the maiden level will allow her to be a price. I'll also use KATHY'S HUMOR (#2) and FLIRTATIOUS SPRING (#7), both of whom should be part of the early mix.

A's: 11
B's: 2, 5, 7

Race 9

I'll try to keep this one simple with SLAM CHOWDER (#12), MAJESTIC BLOOM (#7), and FULL TAP (#8). They simply look the best of these on figures and form based on that Aug. 8 race.

Race 10

CAVORTING (#10) is the best of these and must be used as an A, but I'll also play backup tickets with IRISH JASPER (#9), who might be the best closer, and PROMISE ME SILVER (#11), who rates another look off a troubled try last time.

A's: 10
B's: 9, 11

Race 11

BROKEN BORDER (#2) is my top choice exiting several races in which either the track or the race flow were against her. There should be plenty of pace to set up a late run. SWEET ADVANCE (#1) flopped last time on the dirt but is a threat if she can run back to her debut. FOURSTARCROOK (#13) had a trip last time in which she broke slowly and raced wide. She rates another look if she draws in. MADISON BLUES (#8) looks like the speed of the speed. I'll include as a backup.
