Formal Arrangement wins Tomboy

CINCINNATI Formal Arrangement, under jockey Andrew Ramgeet, took control entering the stretch and held off a game Part Girlie Girl to prevail by one length in the $50,000 Tomboy for Ohio-bred 3-year-old fillies at River Downs. The 1 1/16-mile race was scheduled for turf but run on the main track.

Breaking from the post 8, Formal arrangement, trained by Miguel Feliciano, was content to lay off the pace in fourth early. Ramgeet asked Formal Arrangement entering the far turn and she drew off by 2 1/2 lengths. Part Girlie Girl, ridden by Nathan Solomon, led briefly between calls on the turn, dug in gamely and was gaining late. Got Bling was 12 3/4 lengths back in third, but was not a threat to the top two.

The running time for the 1 1/16 miles was 1:48.40. Formal Arrangement returned $5.80 as the favorite.
