Forever Unbridled eyes Sam Houston Ladies Classic

NEW ORLEANS – Forever Unbridled, a good-looking winner of the $300,000 Comely Stakes last out at Aqueduct, is galloping daily at Fair Grounds for trainer Dallas Stewart and is being aimed at the $400,000 Sam Houston Ladies Classic on Jan. 30.
“She came out of the last race really well. She’ll work soon,” said Stewart. “It was a beautiful race for her up there.”
Forever Unbridled ran in all three two-turn 3-year-old filly stakes last season at Fair Grounds, finishing third in the Fair Grounds Oaks, but Stewart said she was a worn-out filly exiting an 11th-place finish in the Kentucky Oaks. Forever Unbridled got a break until the fall, finished a close fifth in the Raven Run at Keeneland, and used that race as a stepping-stone to a career-best showing in the 1 1/8-mile Comely.
Stewart, meanwhile, has sent another 3-year-old filly, Pleasant Tales, to California to start in the Grade 1 La Brea Stakes on opening day at Santa Anita. Pleasant Tales won an allowance race last month at Churchill and was shipped from Kentucky to California late in November.
