Florida Sire Stakes on deck for speedy Win N Your In
?q=100)
Win N Your In is one of the fastest 2-year-old fillies in the country based on Beyer Speed Figures and next month she’s headed for the first leg of the Florida Sire Stakes at Gulfstream Park.
Trainer Carlos David said Tuesday that Win N Your In is targeting the $100,000 Desert Vixen division. It will be run over six furlongs on Sept. 7.
Win N Your In won at the distance last Saturday at Gulfstream in the $95,000 Sharp Susan. It was her second straight victory following a maiden special weight over 5 1/2 furlongs on July 6.
For the maiden win, Win N Your In earned a Beyer Speed Figure of 79, which is tied for fifth highest among all 2-year-old fillies of 2024. For her win in the Sharp Susan, she earned a Beyer of 78.
The wins have come by a combined margin of more than 11 lengths.
“She’s nice,” David said. “I think she’s improving with each race. So far, she’s handling everything we’ve thrown at her really good, especially the increase in distance.”

David said because Win N Your In seems to want more distance, the other two legs of the Florida Sire Stakes would be in play provided things go well in the Desert Vixen. The $200,000 Susan’s Girl is over seven furlongs on Oct. 19, and the $300,000 My Dear Girl at 1 1/16 miles is Nov. 30.
“She’s got those Florida Sires Stakes coming up,” David said.
David won the Desert Vixen and Susan’s Girl in 2022 with Lynx, who also ran second in the My Dear Girl.
Win N Your In races for Troy Johnson and Maritza Weston and was selected at auction by Weston’s husband, Charles, David said. She is a daughter of Win Win Win.
David has a promising 2-year-old colt in the barn named In the Chase.
“He won first time out in Saratoga,” David said. “I’ve got horses in New York. He’s a nice New York-bred. The plan is to run him in the Funny Cide.”
A $200,000 race for New York-breds, the Funny Cide will be run over six furlongs on Aug. 25. In the Chase won a maiden special weight at the distance July 25. The son of Weekend Hideaway races for his breeder, Mr. Amore Stable.
