This European invader did not get the best of trips in his U.S. debut, breaking slowly and dropping well back early, then being forced to check near the eighth pole while finishing on his left lead. He galloped out strong and should be a stakes winner in this country before too long.

This well-backed first-time starter from potent connections never had a chance once stumbling shortly after the break and dropping well back over a speed-favoring strip. He did make a promising middle move but could not sustain the bid when taken extremely wide around the bend and into the stretch.
