Florida Derby-bound Tiz the Law breezes
Barbara D. Livingston Holy Bull Stakes winner Tiz the Law heads the first edition of Derby Watch.
HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – The biggest name on the work tab around the local area Monday was Tiz the Law, who turned in his first breeze since his impressive triumph in the Grade 3 Holy Bull on Feb. 1 at Gulfstream. Tiz the Law’s connections confirmed they are pointing him to the $1 million Florida Derby here March 28 for his final Kentucky Derby prep.

Tiz the Law completed a very easy half-mile in 50.00 seconds with exercise rider Heather Smullen aboard, with his final quarter in 24.20 according to Daily Racing Form clocker Donald Harris.
“I just let him start slow the first part,” Smullen said. “I just sat there. He went very easily.”
