Flightline back home and training at Santa Anita

The undefeated superstar Flightline is back in California and training at Santa Anita following a win in the Grade 1 Metropolitan Mile Handicap at Belmont Park on June 11.
On Friday, Flightline was jogged at Santa Anita for the second consecutive day. The 4-year-old colt was flown to California on Tuesday and was given a rest day on Wednesday, trainer John Sadler said on Friday.
“He looked pretty good,” Sadler said.

Flightline, unbeaten in four starts, had his 2022 debut in the $1 million Met Mile, winning by six lengths. He won three times last year, each time by at least 11 1/2 lengths. The season was highlighted by a win in the Grade 1 Malibu Stakes for 3-year-olds at seven furlongs at Santa Anita in December.
With the win in the Met Mile, Flightline earned a fees-paid berth to the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile at Keeneland on Nov. 5.
No interim race plans for Flightline have been finalized.
Flightline has earned $794,800 from his four wins. He is owned by Hronis Racing, West Point Thoroughbreds, Siena Farm, Summer Wind Equine and Woodford Racing.
