Fleet Valid makes it four in a row

Joe DeVivo|Sep 07, 2009

Fleet Valid, unbeaten since he was claimed by trainer Scott Volk for $14,000 on April 2 at Aqueduct, stretched his winning streak to four races by scoring a 2 3/4-length victory in Monday's co-featured $75,000 Icecapade Stakes at Monmouth Park.

Pedro Morales rode Fleet Valid, a 6-year-old gelding who covered the six furlongs on a fast track in 1:09.25.

On the Vineyard finished second at 22-1, 1 1/4 lengths in front of Make Me Zach.

In the $65,000 Twin Light Stakes for 3-year-old fillies on the turf, Redreamit ($7) went wire to wire to win by 2 1/4 lengths. Unbridled Essence held off 9-5 favorite Miss Blakely for second by a neck.

Ridden by Daniel Centeno for trainer Ken McPeek, Redreamit ran the 1 1/8 miles in 1:47.68.
