Flashy maiden winner Pharocity taken out of training

Pharocity, sparkling debut winner of a Saratoga maiden 2-year-old sprint, is out for the year with an unspecified injury, trainer Steve Asmussen said Thursday.
Pharocity debuted Sept. 5, showed good speed, and drew away to a 5 3/4-length victory. His seven-furlong time of 1:23.02 yielded a 93 Beyer Speed Figure, the second-highest dirt Beyer for a 2-year-old colt so far this year. Only U. S. S. Valor, who got a 105 romping in a Saratoga maiden the same day as Pharocity, has earned a higher figure this year.
A homebred by American Pharoah, Pharocity campaigns for Scott Dilworth, Evan Dilworth, and Randy Andrews. The colt, out of the Congrats mare O Seraphina, failed to meet a $275,000 reserve at Keeneland’s 2025 September yearling sale.
