Flamboro: Saturday dates moved to Wednesday going forward

Flamboro Downs has altered its racing schedule for the remainder of 2026, moving its Saturday cards to Wednesdays, beginning next week.

The changes, approved on Wednesday by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), go into effect with the addition of a card on Wednesday, Nov. 11 and the elimination of the previously scheduled Saturday, Nov. 14 card.

The draw for the Nov. 11 card will be held on Friday, Nov. 6.

The Saturday, Nov. 7 card at Flamboro will proceed as scheduled.

The move will provide live harness racing cards every day of the week in an attempt to drive handle which provides the majority of funding for purses and breed development program. Previously, Wednesdays were dark in Ontario. The new weekly harness racing schedule through the end of 2026 will be as follows starting next week:

• Sundays – Woodbine Mohawk Park and Flamboro Downs

• Mondays – Woodbine Mohawk Park and The Raceway at Western Fair District

• Tuesdays – The Raceway at Western Fair District

• Wednesdays – Flamboro Downs

• Thursdays – Flamboro Downs

• Fridays - Woodbine Mohawk Park and The Raceway at Western Fair District

• Saturdays - Woodbine Mohawk Park

That means the following Wednesday race dates have been added to Flamboro Downs’ 2026 lineup:

November 11, 18, 25

December 2, 9, 16, 30

The following Saturday race dates have been deleted at the Hamilton, ON track:
