Saturday was so much fun, they’re doing it all over again Wednesday at Gulfstream Park.

A Rainbow 6 forceout is being held at Gulfstream in South Florida when an interrupted four-day week gets under way Wednesday. The 20-cent Rainbow 6 was just forced out Saturday, with nearly $2.8 million in new wagers being added to a $464,803 jackpot carryover from Friday. Winning tickets paid $567.80 apiece, with several races originally scheduled for the turf shifted to the main track because of heavy rain earlier in the day.

A carryover of $26,530 from Sunday will be in play Wednesday, when new Rainbow 6 handle of about $250,000 can reasonably be expected. This latest forceout is being held because Wednesday is the final day of the fiscal year in Florida.

Gulfstream also will race Thursday, the first day of the new fiscal year, but will be dark Friday. The track then will go to a three-day schedule (Fridays through Sundays) for the rest of July.

First post Wednesday is 12:50 p.m. Eastern, when a 50 percent chance of showers is in the Hallandale Beach forecast. Here’s a rundown of the Rainbow 6 races:

Race 3: Kate’s Kingdom and Frankie’s Girl are drawn alongside each other as the program favorites in this starter-optional turf route for fillies and mares when exiting the same June 3 race. Kate’s Kingdom was fourth as the favorite that day, with Frankie’s Girl finishing just a half-length ahead of her in third.

Crystal Coast and Ten Pin Alley are other considerations in a field of seven.

Race 4: Nacho Papa is such a hot commodity that the 5-year-old gelding has been claimed out of four of his five starts in 2021. Moving to a different barn after this race is likely to happen again, as leading trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. runs him right back for the same $12,500 tag for which he claimed him on Memorial Day. In top form, Nacho Papa is the 7-5 morning-line favorite in this one-turn mile and a likely single for many Rainbow 6 bettors.

Alejandro’s Team, risking a modest win streak when returning from a nearly 10-week layoff for Steve Klesaris, is among the upset threats.

Race 5: Shikaka returns from a needed last start at Monmouth Park when stretching back out to two turns for underrated trainer Sarah Nagle, who earlier at this spring-summer meet got the 5-year-old mare through her “never-won-two” condition when going this same 7 1/2-furlong distance on turf. Shikaka is the 8-5 program choice with Edwin Gonzalez to ride.

If this has to be moved to the main track, then I’m a Coco Pebbles, a main-track-only designate, will become a single for many players.

Race 6: Doc Amster earned a career-high 88 Beyer Speed Figure in winning his latest start for Joseph and should vie for favoritism with Man of Honor in this $53,000, second-level allowance going 6 1/2 furlongs on the main track. Man of Honor, co-owned and trained by Louie Roussel, makes his first start since going through his first allowance condition on April 17.

The uncoupled Terri Pompay duo of Squeezeadios and Cool Arrow, both in for an optional $50,000 claiming tag, also are part of a field of six older horses.

Race 7: This $51,000 allowance sprint for Florida-breds is one of the more evenly matched races of the sequence, and many players will find safety in spreading liberally. More than half of these eight fillies and mares rate solid chances, those being Royal Habibi, Kamar Taj, Tiz Enough, Kitty Kitty, and Caffeine Rush.

Race 8: A 10-horse field – the largest of the day – also should have many Rainbow 6 players using more than just a couple of these maiden-claiming turf milers. Triple Jeopardy, second or third in six of eight starts, is a lukewarm 3-1 morning-line favorite in a lineup that also includes Creative Choice, Mutakaamil, and Double Blessing as viable options.
