Finger Lakes: Trainer Chris Englehart surpasses 3,000 wins

Trainer Chris Englehart surpassed the 3,000-win milestone by winning three races on Friday’s card at Finger Lakes.

Win No. 3,000 came in the fifth race, when Twinkle In His Eye scored by a length under jockey John Davila Jr.

Englehart added wins No. 3,001 and 3,002 as Brock N Roll won the seventh race and Winged Warrior took the ninth. Overall, his horses have earned $25,755,333.

Englehart, 56, who began his career in 1973, has won eight consecutive leading trainer titles at Finger Lakes and is headed to his ninth straight title this season, leading the standings with 69 victories.
