Finger Lakes pick five play for Monday, Nov. 25, 2024

RACE 5: MISS CITY GIRL makes her second start for trainer Anthony Ferraro after being caught four wide throughout chasing an odds-on filly loose on the lead earlier this month. The daughter of Mucho Macho Man should get a much more favorable voyage this time under jockey Keiber Coa. (1)

RACE 6: CROAGH PATRICK has hit the board in five of his last six starts, including his maiden-winning performance over this surface in September. He should get an honest pace to run at with jockey Kevin Navarro back aboard. PARTY NEWS has been freshened up after missing by a half-length on Sept. 25. He projects to get an advantageous ground-saving trip from off the pace. (2)

RACE 7: DIVA DE ORO finished well to earn second in her first start at this level earlier this month. She appears capable of a step forward in her second effort around two turns. ESSENTIAL LIFE ships in from Aqueduct for trainer George Weaver. Weaver has won with his last three starters at Finger Lakes. TURNUPTHEMUSIC finally drops in for a tag after 10 starts against protected maidens. The Audible filly will certainly appreciate the decrease in competition. (3)

RACE 8: LOVE THYSELF looks to make it four wins in a row for trainer Jonathan Buckley. The Solomini filly loves this racetrack and should get a perfect stalking trip off a lively early pace. (1)

RACE 9: DANNEEL posted a career-best 50 Beyer Speed Figure in her first start for new trainer Ilmar Loaiza. She appears poised to earn her first lifetime victory in her second start off the bench. NIKKI BRAINBURST makes her first local start after a pair of speed-and-fade efforts at Aqueduct. She may find herself loose on the lead under jockey Romero Maragh. (2)
