The chief financial officer for the New York Racing Association, Irene Posio, has left that position, NYRA confirmed Wednesday. The circumstances of her departure were unclear, and no replacement has been named. "Irene is no longer with the company," John Lee, NYRA's director of communications, said Wednesday. "Yesterday was her final day. Other than that we won't have any further comment on personnel matters." Posio was named NYRA's controller in April 2004. In August 2005, she was promoted to the combined post of vice president, treasurer, and controller and then in October 2005 to CFO, replacing Michael Kravchenko. Before joining NYRA, Posio was CFO for SCP Communications Inc., a New York-based company that publishes medical journals. She also held positions at AT&T, Teleport Communications Group Inc., Graff Pay-Per View Inc., and the accounting firm of McGladrey and Pullen. Attempts to reach Posio were unsuccessful.
