LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Forbidden Apple filly Garden Cider posted a sizzling 9.6-second workout Thursday to lead eighth-mile times at the Ocala Breeders' Sales Co.'s under-tack preview.\nThe session was the second of four showcasing horses in the April 20-23 spring 2-year-old auction at the Ocala, Fla., sale company.\nGarden Cider will sell as Hip No. 692 at the sale. The bay filly is out of the Halo mare Stacie's Halo, and Bridlewood Farm is the consignor.\nAlso posting session-leading fast times were a pair of juveniles colts by Scrimshaw and Pico Central. Hip No. 461, currently named Ishmael, is by Scrimshaw out of Preciosa. The dark bay or brown colt is in agent Raymie Lightner's consignment. Casse Sales, agent, consigns the other colt, a chestnut son of Pico Central and Sez Who's Gold. He sells as Hip No. 608.\nThe day's fastest three-eighths-mile time was 33.20 seconds. That was put up by Hip No. 604, Sendmeto the City, a City Place-Sendmesomeroses colt. Tony Bowling's All In Sales agency consigns the bay colt.\nThe under-tack previews were to continue through Saturday over the OBS Safetrack in Ocala, starting at 8 a.m. each day. The auction runs April 20-23 with sessions beginning daily at 10:30 a.m.
