Filly taking class drop in local bow

AUBURN, Wash. - Ihavemorefun will attempt to make her Emerald Downs debut a winning one when she heads a field of seven 3-year-old fillies, each eligible to be claimed for $12,500, in Friday's 5 1/2-furlong feature.

Ihavemorefun, a daughter of Include trained by Frank Lucarelli, graduated at the $12,500 level at Bay Meadows going 5 1/2 furlongs on April 13 before running a creditable third to $20,000 winners on April 27. Shifting to Golden Gate for her most recent outing on May 23, Ihavemorefun ran fourth of six, beaten 6 1/2 lengths, against $16,000 company. She has logged two local workouts and should benefit from the drop to the $12,500 level on Friday.

Ihavemorefun faces a stern challenge from This September, a 5 3/4-length winner over $7,500 maidens in her fourth outing on June 21. This September, a daughter of Tribunal trained by Craig Roberts, got six furlongs in 1:10.40 to earn a Beyer Speed Figure of 70, the best number earned by any of the entrants. She came back to work three furlongs in 36.20 seconds on June 29 and appears to be improving rapidly.

Also a threat is Regal Sis, who disappointed as the favorite facing $20,000 foes in her last try on June 27. In her previous outing, Regal Sis, a Jim Penney-trained daughter of Slew City Slew, posted an easy three-length win over $12,500 maidens. Off that good effort, she was bet down to 6-5 against winners but failed to fire.

Rounding out the field are Russian, Passion for Dance, Brahms Swings, and My Thistle. All have good speed, as do This September and Regal Sis, which should make for a favorable pace scenario for the late-running Ihavemorefun.
