Filly among top Keeneland works

A Saint Ballado filly and a Dynaformer colt topped the work tab Monday at Keeneland's second and final under-tack show for its April 19 select juvenile sale.

Hip No. 112, a Saint Ballado filly out of the unraced Deputy Minister mare Sabu, breezed the day's fastest eighth-mile time of 10.20 seconds. The filly is offered by LMS 2004.

Hip No. 93, a Dynaformer son of Petiteness, posted the day's fastest quarter-mile time. Breezing on the turf, the colt covered the distance in 21.20 seconds, bettering his 21.80 seconds for a quarter-mile on the turf at the first preview day on April 11. Selling through the Niall Brennan agency, the colt is a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Scorpion.

The auction was to begin Tuesday in Keeneland's sale pavilion at 1:30 p.m.
