Fillies prep for Genesis

The stakes winners Rich Pearl and Ruby's Big Band are among 10 juvenile fillies entered in an allowance at Delta on Thursday night. The seven-furlong race, which will be run around two turns, should produce starters for the $60,000 Genesis at the same distance at Delta on Jan. 15.

Rich Pearl won the $50,000 Donnie Wilhite Memorial at Louisiana Downs on Aug. 15. Ruby's Big Band won three stakes earlier this year at Assiniboia Downs in Manitoba, Canada. The field also includes Bronx City Girl, who in her last start was second by a neck in a $50,000 claiming race at Churchill Downs. She earned a Beyer Figure of 77, the best last-race number in Thursday's field.
