Fillies by Amira's Prince, Commissioner top Day 2 at OBS breeze show
Juveniles by freshman sires Amira's Prince and Commissioner shared the fastest quarter-mile time during the second session of the under-tack preview show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Co's spring sale of 2-year-olds in training.
Each one worked their quarter in 20 1/5 seconds on the Ocala Training Center's all-weather Safetrack surface.
Amira's Prince, by the Galileo horse Teofilo, was a multiple Grade 2 winner on the turf and now stands at Pleasant Acres Stallions in Florida. His quick-working filly, consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, as agent, is out of the Medaglia d'Oro mare Lady Halite. It is the family of graded stakes winner Buffalo Man.
WinStar Farm's graded stakes-winning millionaire Commissioner, by A.P. Indy, finished second in the Belmont Stakes. His filly is out of the Rahy mare Money Madness, a half-sister to stakes-placed Feminine Girl. She is consigned by Q Bar J Thoroughbreds.
Four juveniles worked the fastest furlong of the Wednesday session, each going in 9 4/5 seconds. They were a Sky Mesa colt and a Make Believe filly, both consigned by Top Line Sales; a Blame colt consigned by Crupi's New Castle Farm, as agent; and a filly by The Factor consigned by Nice and Easy Thoroughbreds, as agent.
