OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Typically well stocked with 3-year-old turf fillies, trainer Chad Brown had the good fortune to obtain another quality one recently in Fifty Five. On Sunday, Fifty Five will make her first start for Brown in the $100,000 Memories of Silver Stakes, scheduled for 1 1/16 miles over Aqueduct’s turf course.

The Memories of Silver is the co-feature, along with the $100,000 Times Square division of the New York Stallion Series, on Aqueduct’s nine-race closing-day card. Racing moves to Belmont Park beginning Friday.

Brown won the inaugural Memories of Silver with Consumer Credit in 2015. Last year, his runners, Last Waltz and Pricedtoperfection, finished second and third behind Time and Motion.

Fifty Five, a New York-bred daughter of Get Stormy, made her first five starts for John and Sandy Crowe’s Empire Equines and trainer Tom Bush. Fifty Five won three of those races, including a last-to-first victory in the Grade 3 Florida Oaks at Tampa Bay Downs on March 11.

Fifty Five was purchased privately by Peter Brant following that race and turned over to Brown, who immediately targeted this race.

“She came to me in outstanding shape from Tom Bush,” Brown said. “She’s done really well, breezed terrific; delighted to have her.”

Unlike her sire, who was a front-end winner of three Grade 1 turf stakes, Fifty Five does her best running from well off the pace. She rallied from 11th place in a 12-horse field to win a maiden race here last November and rallied from last to win the Florida Oaks.

The pace in the Memories of Silver figures to come from Dynatail, a stakes winner who finished fourth in the Florida Oaks after chasing a speed horse on the front end. Team of Teams also could show early foot.

Party Boat, Art Institute, and Super Marina also do their best running from off the pace.

The Memories of Silver will go as race 4 at 3:05 p.m. Eastern.

KEY CONTENDERS

Fifty Five, by Get Stormy
Last 3 Beyers: 83-83-74

◗ Displayed a strong late kick to get up by a neck over La Coronel in the Florida Oaks. La Coronel came back to win the Grade 3 Appalachian at Keeneland on April 13.

◗ She’s making her first start for Brown, who over the last four years is 4 for 14 with a $2.88 ROI when running a newly acquired horse in an ungraded stakes.

Dynatail, by Hightail
Last 3 Beyers: 81-61-78

◗ Had a three-race winning streak snapped when fourth, beaten 1 1/4 lengths, in the Florida Oaks, in which she could not secure the early lead. Looks like the controlling speed from the rail under Rajiv Maragh.

Art Institute, by Arch
Last 3 Beyers: 64-67-53

◗ Overcame a difficult trip when forced to steady twice and rallied from last to win a first-level allowance at Tampa Bay Downs by a neck over Sailor’s Valentine, who came back to win the Grade 1 Ashland.

Party Boat, by Into Mischief
Last 3 Beyers: 84-73-61

◗ Rallied widest of all when third, beaten a length, in the Grade 3 Herecomesthebride at Gulfstream Park. Won an allowance race at Keeneland off a similar layoff as she has entering this race.
