Field Pass lifted apprentice Axel Concepcion to his first stakes win Saturday in the $75,000 Find at Laurel Park. Field Pass was a neck winner over Crabs N Beer, while it was another half-length back in third to Wish Me Home. The win in the Find was one of four victories on the card for Concepcion. The 18-year-old native of Puerto Rico is the current leading apprentice in Maryland, according to a press release from Laurel. Join DRF Bets. Field Pass ($10.20) raced off fractions set by Wish Me Home, who took the field through an opening quarter in 24.11 seconds, a half-mile in 48, and six furlongs in 1:11.75. Field Pass put in a strong run through the lane and covered the distance in 1:41.70. Mike Maker trains the Maryland-bred son of Lemon Drop Kid for Three Diamonds Farm. Wicked Prankster was pulled up in the Find and he walked off, according to the chart of the race. The $75,000 All Brandy was the counterpart for fillies and mares Saturday and Gold Digging Broad had her number put up after finishing second by a nose to the disqualified Downtown Katie. Downtown Katie was placed fifth for stretch interference. There was a stewards’ inquiry as well as an objection by the rider of fifth-place finisher Amplio Esquema, who was elevated to fifth. Gold Digging Broad ($44.20) set fractions of 24.65 seconds for the opening quarter, 49.41 for the half-mile, and 1:12.66 for six furlongs. The winning time was 1:42.80. Carlos Lopez was aboard Gold Digging Broad for Jean Mahoney and trainer Miguel Vera.
