Field of 12 set for Kentucky Juvenile Stakes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The stars of tomorrow take center stage on the eve of the biggest weekend at Churchill Downs, as a large field of 12 2-year-olds has been drawn for the $200,000 Kentucky Juvenile, the Thursday feature.
With the 2-year-old season still nascent, five members of this field are still maidens, with two even having yet to start. The winners in this field are the filly Hurricane Debbie, an eight-length debut winner April 14 at Keeneland; fellow Keeneland winners Baytown Lovely, King Adrock, Mr. Gordy, and Simply Super; Tom's Regret, a debut winner at Santa Anita; and Parx Racing maiden winner Ferrari Kid.
The Kentucky Juvenile is the feature on a Thursday card that also includes the $200,000 Unbridled Sidney for fillies and mares sprinting on turf and the $160,000 Opening Verse Stakes for older horses on turf.
