Fiddlers Tsunami stays hot in Great Lady M. Stakes
Fiddlers Tsunami continued her strong run of 5-year-old form with a two-length win over Another Bond Girl in the $55,000 Great Lady M. Stakes on Monday at Will Rogers Downs.
Fidders Tsunami got a break from racing between Dec. 8 and Feb. 18 and has returned in the best form of her career, winning twice and notching a second and a third in her four races this form cycle.
Fiddlers Tsunami rated kindly in midpack for jockey Kevin Roman and had an immediate response when Roman asked her to go midway around the far turn of this six-furlong dirt race for Oklahoma-bred fillies and mares. Fiddlers Tsunami easily collared pace-setting Sonic Run and had plenty left to hold clear Another Bond Girl, who had followed her moves around the oval.
Fiddlers Tsunami, by Seeking the Home and out of the Roaring Fever mare Fiddlers Katami, is trained by Jody Pruitt for Blue Moon Stables. She was timed in 1:09.90 over a fast track and paid $4.20 as the favorite. Sonic Boom finished a distant third.
