Favorites win four legs of pick six, leading to payout of $2,934

OZONE PARK, N.Y. - Form returned to Aqueduct in a big way Friday when favorites won four legs of the pick six leading to a payout of $2,934 to those who selected all six winners.

There were 827 tickets sold on the winning sequence of 3-4-5-6-1-6. The consolation payout (5 of 6) was $41.

It was the first time the pick six was hit at Aqueduct since Dec. 2. It had not been hit for four consecutive cards, leading to a whopping $837,570 carryover heading into Friday’s card. Bettors were out in full force, sending in $2,787,090 of new money into the pool.

Favorites won the first four legs of the sequence, with Storm Pursuit ($4.60), Bow Town Cat ($3.80), Chilly Bon Bon ($7.80) going gate to wire while Smile Big ($4.20) came from just off the pace.

Front-running Doyouknowsomething ($9.90), the third choice, held off favored Send It In in the seventh race. Leftovers ($7.30), the third choice in the wagering, took the nightcap in a race where the 3-5 morning-line favorite, Kahramani, was scratched.
