Fast Gator stays perfect in La Senora Stakes

Fast Gator overcame the rail post and nine rivals to remain undefeated in four starts Saturday in the $85,000 La Senora at Sunland Park. She led throughout for a half-length score over Country Club Cutie, while it was another 2 1/4 lengths back in third to Money Order.
The La Senora was a six-furlong race for 2-year-old fillies bred in New Mexico.
Fast Gator ($3.60) was winning her third straight stakes race, behind the $134,000 Rio Grande Senorita Futurity in September at Ruidoso Downs and the $140,000 New Mexico Cup Lassie in October at Zia Park. She was always prominent in the La Senora, setting fractions of 21.68 seconds for the opening quarter and 44.13 for the half-mile before covering the distance on a fast track in 1:09.16.
Ry Eikleberry rode the winner for trainer Henry Dominguez. Fast Gator earned $51,000 for J. Kirk and Judy Robison, who bred and race the daughter of Diabolical.
