Fasig-Tipton Texas: Three share fastest furlong times

Juveniles by Into Mischief, Latent Heat, and City Place were the fastest over a furlong Monday at Fasig-Tipton’s under-tack show for its Texas 2-year-old auction in Grand Prairie, Tex.

The auction takes place April 5 at Lone Star Park in a one-day session starting at 11 a.m.

At Monday’s under-tack preview, a trio covered an eighth of a mile in 10.2 seconds. They were Hip No. 35, the River Oaks Farms agency’s Into Mischief filly out of Patricias Prospect; Hip No. 114, a Latent Heat colt out of By the Belle consigned by Robert Brewer, agent; and Hip No. 122, a City Place colt out of Fast Brook, also consigned by Brewer as agent.

Another Robert Brewer consignee, the Closing Argument filly cataloged as Hip No. 40, put in the fastest quarter-mile work when she went in 21.6 seconds. That filly is out of Prospective Angel.
