Six juveniles had the fastest eighth-mile work time of 10.2 seconds Wednesday at Fasig-Tipton Midlantic's juvenile under-tack for the company's 2-year-old auction, set for May 23-24 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds.\r\nThe six fast one-furlong workers were Hip No. 69, an Eddington-Gottah Penny filly offered by Mountain View Sales Agency; Hip No. 86, a Henny Hughes-Hi Lili colt consigned by Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds agency; Hip No. 109, a Badge of Silver-Jasmine and Jewels filly in the Eisaman Equine agency's consignment; Hip No. 132, a Grand Slam-Kumari Continent filly offered by De Meric Sales, agent; Hip No. 242, a Latent Heat-Perfect Wave filly, a half-sister to graded-placed stakes-winner La Rocca, that Mountain View consigned; and Hip No. 252, a Street Sense-Polish Nana filly that Eisaman Equine consigned.\r\nWednesday's fastest quarter-mile time was 21.6 seconds. The four juveniles with that time included Hip No. 5, a Malibu Moon-North of Eden filly who is a half-sister to champion Paradise Creek, Grade 1 winners Forbidden Apple and Wild Event, and the dam of English champion David Junior. Bridlewood Farm, agent, is the consignor. Others working the distance in 21.6 seconds were Hip No. 25, an Any Given Saturday-Fabulous Finish colt offered by Wavertree Stables' agency; Hip No. 87, a Half Ours-Hipocrite colt also consigned by the Wavertree agency; and Hip No. 218, a Songandaprayer-Nothing Special colt, a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Haynesfield, offered by the Off the Hook agency.\r\nA trio of 2-year-olds had the quickest time over three furlongs, 34.4 seconds. They were Hip No. 30, a Giant's Causeway-Fantasy Royale colt consigned by agent Bobby Dodd; Hip No. 90, a Half Ours-Honour Old Glory gelding consigned by agent Lynne Boutte; and Hip No. 135, a Johannesburg-Lady Nichola filly that the Pike Racing agency consigned on behalf of Spendthrift Farm.\r\nFasig-Tipton Midlantic's May 2-year-old sale will take place at the fairgrounds in Timonium, Md., on May 23-24.
