Fasig-Tipton select Florida sale to offer 240 juveniles

Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 240 juveniles for its select 2-year-old auction, dubbed The Florida Sale, on March 3 in Palm Beach County. Catalogs are online now at www.fasigtipton.com and will be available in Fasig-Tipton offices starting Jan. 27.

The sale, previously held at Calder race Course in Miami, relocates to the Palm Meadows Training Center in 2011.

“Fasig-Tipton has been conducting the premier sale of 2-year-olds in south Florida for over 50 years,” said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. “We are thrilled to begin this new phase at Palm Meadows, which many consider to be the finest training facility in North America.”

Sale horses will be training at Palm Meadows from Feb. 15, according to Fasig-Tipton, and the auction’s under-tack preview will take place on Monday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. The one-day sale will start at 11 a.m. on March 3.
