Fasig-Tipton Saratoga fall mixed sale catalog goes online

The catalog for the 2017 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga fall mixed sale is now online and features 290 entries.

The auction will be Monday, Oct. 17 at the Humphrey S. Finney Pavilion in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., beginning at 10 a.m. Eastern. Print catalogs will be available by Sept. 22.

“We have good quality in this year’s catalog,” Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning said. “There are a number of mares in foal to leading national and regional sires that should draw significant interest. Additionally, this sale has developed into an excellent weanling market – we have nearly 190 weanlings catalogued this year – and the sire power is very good.”

This year’s catalog is split up among 185 weanlings, 87 broodmares or broodmare prospects, and 18 yearlings.

Stallions whose first crops are represented by weanlings in the catalog include Commissioner, Competitive Edge, Constitution, Danza, Daredevil, Fast Anna, Golden Ticket, Honor Code, Jack Milton, Japan, Lea, Majestic City, Medal Count, Micromanage, Normandy Invasion, Palace, Palace Malice, Race Day, Summer Front, Tapiture, Tonalist, Wicked Strong, and Zivo.

First-year covering sires with pregnant broodmares in the catalog include Effinex, Exaggerator, Laoban, Outwork, Runhappy, Speightster, V. E. Day, and War Dancer.

New York stallion Central Banker also has a yearling from his first crop in the catalog.
