Fasig-Tipton releases Turf Showcase catalog

The catalog for the inaugural Fasig-Tipton Turf Showcase sale is now online, with 171 horses on offer.

The single-day sale of yearlings with turf-favoring pedigrees and physicals will take place Sunday, Sept. 10, at Fasig-Tipton’s Newtown Paddocks location in Lexington, Ky., beginning at 4 p.m. Eastern.

Print catalogs will be available early this month.

“We are very pleased with the quality of this catalog for the inaugural sale,” said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. “These yearlings have sire power, depth of pedigree, and physical conformation that will appeal to a broad range of domestic and international buyers.

“In North America this year, 40 percent of all graded stakes races will be conducted on turf, along with nearly 7,000 races,” Browning continued. “Internationally, U.S.-breds continue to excel on the world’s biggest stages. This sale represents a perfect opportunity for buyers from around the globe to find yearlings that suit their racing programs – in a convenient single sale session.”

Stallions whose first crops of yearlings are represented in the Turf Showcase catalog include Magician, Noble Mission, Real Solution, Verrazano, and War Command.

Horses in the sale were bred in Kentucky, Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Ontario, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
