Fasig-Tipton releases October sale catalog

Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 1,250 yearlings for its Kentucky fall yearling sale, to be held over three sessions Oct. 24-26 in Lexington, Ky.

The catalog represents a 16 percent reduction from the 2015 renewal, when 1,485 yearlings were cataloged over four sessions.

Catalog highlights include three yearlings by two-time reigning leading sire Tapit, who was the leading sire by both gross and average at the recently-concluded Keeneland September yearling sale.

“Our consignors have supported the October sale once again with significant numbers and quality, including yearlings by 19 of the current top 20 ranked sires,” Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning said.
