Fasig-Tipton October: Yearling sale catalog now online

The catalog for the 2014 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky fall yearling sale is now online, featuring a group of 1,236 offerings.

The three-day sale will take place Oct. 20-22 at the auction company’s Newtown Paddocks base in Lexington, Ky. Sessions will begin each day at 10 p.m. Eastern.

The catalog can be viewed online via the Fasig-Tipton website, and print versions of the catalog will be available at all Fasig-Tipton offices by Oct. 3.

This year’s catalog marks a nine percent increase from the 2013 renewal of the Fasig-Tipton October sale, which featured 1,134 yearlings.

“We are optimistic that a combination of factors will further enhance this major event on the Thoroughbred calendar,” said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. “Our graduates are exceeding expectations. We have near-record numbers entered this year. And our consignors continue to improve the quality of yearlings at every level, because of the broad spectrum of buyers the October sale attracts. All five of North America’s current leading sires – Tapit, Kitten’s Joy, Candy Ride, Giant’s Causeway and City Zip are represented by multiple yearlings at the sale.”
