Fasig-Tipton November sale catalog now online

The catalog for the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky selected fall mixed sale is now available online, with 209 horses included in the catalog.

The one-day sale will be held Monday, Nov. 4 at Fasig-Tipton’s Newtown Paddocks in Lexington, Ky., beginning at 4 p.m. Eastern. Print catalogs will be available at all Fasig-Tipton offices by October 14, and supplemental catalog pages will be distributed once the horses are on the grounds.

Supplemental entries will be taken through the Breeders’ Cup World Championship on Nov. 1-2 in order to accommodate horses whose stock may rise with a strong performance over the weekend. Fasig-Tipton drew significant entries to its Kentucky Horses of Racing Age sale earlier this year using a similar method for late entries. The online catalog will be updated as new horses are added.

“We have a truly superb catalog for the November sale and it would be impossible to single out individuals,” said Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning Jr. “Buyers will choose from 24 Grade 1 winners or producers and 59 graded stakes winners or producers in a single session over several hours, not days.”

The list of broodmares and broodmare prospects offered in the November sale is long and high on quality. Among those cataloged are Grade 1 winner In Lingerie, in foal to Frankel; Grade 1 winner Love and Pride, in foal to Distorted Humor; Grade 1 winner Willa B Awesome, in foal to Medaglia d’Oro; and recent graded stakes winners Sweet Lulu and Authenticity.

“There are some international ‘first of their kind’ situations among the breeding stock on offer,” Browning added. “Last year’s weanlings sold exceptionally well, which has allowed us to recruit 67 selected foals this year, with many by stallions you find at the head of national sire listings and sales statistics.

“This is going to be a very exciting and productive sale, and the supplemental entries will add to an already sterling catalog.”
