Fasig-Tipton Midlantic mixed sale catalog now online

The catalog for the 2013 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic mixed sale is now available online, featuring a roster of 210 entries.

The one-day sale will be held Monday, Dec. 9 at Fasig-Tipton’s Midlantic sales pavilion on the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Md. The sale will begin at 11 a.m. Eastern.

“This truly fits the definition of a mixed sale,” said Paget Bennett, Fasig-Tipton’s director of Midlantic sales. “We have mares, weanlings, yearlings, broodmare prospects and horses of racing age Roughly half the catalog comprises in-foal mares, with covering sires like Afleet Alex, English Channel, Not For Love, Quality Road and Rockport Harbor, who had a big boost with his Breeders’ Cup daughter Ria Antonia.

“Among the 75 weanlings, there are some exciting young sires such as Cape Blanco, Drosselmeyer and Trappe Shot - and one by a sire everyone wants these days, a Kitten’s Joy,” Bennett added.
