Fasig-Tipton Midlantic catalog available

The catalog for the 2016 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic winter mixed sale is now available online, with 167 entries.

The sale will take place Sunday, Jan. 31 at Fasig-Tipton’s Midlantic base on the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Md., beginning at 11 a.m. Eastern. Print catalogs will be mailed Jan. 6 and will be available from all Fasig-Tipton offices the week of Jan. 11.

A selection of 74 cataloged broodmare and broodmare prospects will lead off the auction, followed by 65 yearlings. The auction will then finish with 28 racing/broodmare prospects and horses of racing age.

“Several Midlantic Thoroughbred programs, most notably Maryland and Pennsylvania, are seeing positive changes in structure, funding, and growth,” said Paget Bennett, Fasig-Tipton’s Midlantic sales director. “This sale comes at a time to qualify foals of 2016 and add some attractive broodmares to farm inventories.”
